Who we are

PatrolaCG is a free app for safer driving in Montenegro. It is run by PatrolaCG ("we"). For any question about your data write to cgpatrola@gmail.com.

What data we process

Location: while you use navigation or driving mode, your location is used on your device to warn you about cameras and reports ahead. We do not store your location continuously. We store a precise location only when you send a report yourself (police, crash…): the coordinates and type of that report.

Account: you can use the app without signing in. To let you send reports and vote, the app creates an anonymous "guest" account (a random identifier, no name or e-mail). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, e-mail address and profile picture.

Reports and votes: report type, location, time, the identifier of the account that sent it, and your votes on other people's reports. Reports are valid for a limited time and then disappear from the map; records may be kept for statistics and abuse prevention.

Search and routes: the text you type in place search and the start/end coordinates of a route are sent to service providers that help us produce the result.

Settings: language, voice alerts and similar settings are stored in your browser (local storage) and are not sent to us.

Usage statistics: at most once a day we record a random device identifier (no name or e-mail), the device type (Android, iPhone, computer), the language and whether the app is installed. It is used only to count users.

We have not built in any advertising tools or third-party analytics.

Why we use it

To show cameras and reports, warn you while driving, compute a route, prevent abuse (fake reports, spam) and keep the app running. We do not sell your data. The legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in keeping the app safe.

How long we keep it

We keep account data until you ask us to delete it. Reports leave the map when they expire; records of them may be kept in aggregated or anonymous form for statistics and abuse protection.

Your rights

You may ask to see your data, correct it, delete your account and data, withdraw consent and object to processing. Write to cgpatrola@gmail.com. You may also contact the Montenegrin Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information. You can switch location off in your device or browser settings at any time (alerts then stop working).

Children

The app is not intended for children under 16, and drivers must hold a valid driving licence.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always in the app, and we will tell you in the app about important changes.
